Not much to say today. Brain full of book. I like the scene I wrote for Prop. #1 yesterday, that’s going to be ready to send in well ahead of the deadline. Got some website updates in the works and if the weather cooperates will have an updated author photo. The one currently on the site was taken during a bout of morning sickness. Not my best look. (I’m not saying blue hair is an improvement, but we’ll do black and white and sepia tone it so nobody will ever know. Because the husband is a photographing genius.)

Aside from writing, I’ve been on a reading spree. Loretta Chase’s Lord Perfect was delightful. I always look forward to her books. They’re sexy, witty, well plotted and filled with interesting characters and dialog that suits the time period without being clunky or hard to read. Also, she can put more steam in a look or a kiss than anybody else. You can feel the chemistry between the characters sizzling in the air with nothing but a description of eyes meeting.

And of course I read Don’t Look Down. I thought the ending was perfect, and it’s a very good collaboration. You can see both authors in there but it’s seamless. And now I want an Animal of the Month.

Next up I’m trying to decide between Kim Harrison and Kresley Cole (yes, I finally got my hands on A Hunger Like No Other). I get a lot of reading done while feeding the baby, which works out well. I don’t feel like I’m wasting writing time loafing around with somebody else’s book. Whenever I have both hands free, I feel like they should be on the keyboard.
