Still wallowing in book. Every time I think I’ve done my final revision pass on the first two acts I remember something else I need to fix or check for consistency.

ARCs and wrap-up and etc.

I have ARCs for Wicked Hot! Oh, how I love ARCs. It is almost like holding the Real Book.

I’m really, really happy with Animal Attraction, and can only hope my editor feels the same when I kick it out the door. Needs polishing and tweaking and some finish work, but wow, I love this book. I love the fight scenes, I love the world, I love the heat factor, I love the characters. I’m going to miss them all badly when it’s time to move on.

Screen time, not just a source of eyestrain

Here’s something I must share, courtesy of Tracy who changed my life by telling me. Screen time doesn’t just tire your eyes, it has an effect on your brain. Wakes it up. Which is great in the morning, maybe, but not so great at night, because at night your brain has to do the very important job of making your supply of cortisol. If it doesn’t do this, you start off the next day already depleted and stressed. So, put away the computer half an hour before bed. Do something else. Then go to sleep.

I tend to write until my eyeballs cross and I can’t focus, put away the laptop, and pass out. No wonder that habit led to bad nights. I am reformed now. No screen time half an hour before bed.
