the illusion of control and stress

Having a very stressful week. Those times when nothing goes right, it’s hard to remember that when things don’t go right they are the wrong things. This has always proven true in my life. And I’ve never benefited from trying to make the wrong thing keep working.

At times like this it’s good to remember that control is an illusion anyway. And when things change, it can lead to something better. Certainly it’ll be better than the thing that wasn’t working.

Now I’m going to go clean my office and make bread, in between trying to satisfy my children’s demands for more math and science. I swear if their entire curriculum was math and science, they’d be content. Must find science projects to keep them busy all summer.
