NaNoWriMo is here! A whole month dedicated to writing a novel. Or, you know, multiple novels. Whatever works for you. Which brings us to 5 Simple Rules for NaNo:
1. Write
2. Don’t judge
3. If it works, do it
4. If it doesn’t work, don’t force it
5. Have a good time
1. I got about 600 words this morning before I had to go to a doctor’s appointment, so I’m on track.
2. Never. Or at least, not until tonight’s editing session. 🙂
3. Third person never seems like it’s going to work until I get on the page and stop thinking about it.
4. I didn’t think a car crash and a shooting would work in the first chapter anyway.
5. Oh yeah!
You’re off and running! I had to quit after 2 pages to go referee kids, not sure how many words.
I think I’ve decided to be the wandering Nano-nag this year.
So yayy, Charli–go!!!
Hi! I am doing nano too! Do you mind giving me your username so I can follow your process as well! Good luck and good writing!
I’m not an official participant since I’m working on multiple projects, only one of them new and that one is a novelette.
Thanks! Waiting for coffee to brew, about to get started today.
I’m not participating in NaNo (like you, multiple projects right now) but, you know, Charli, your list of 5 simple rules is a great one for writers to follow anytime! 🙂
It does apply anytime. *g* Of course, #2 is always challenging.
