Got extra books? Want to send some book relief to Australia? Help the Romance Writers of Australia help others.
As well as raising money for the bushfire victims at their annual conference, Romance Writers of Australia are launching a Bushfire Book Appeal. It's a small thing; we know that for many affected families, books will not be high on their list of necessities for some time to come, but we also know how valuable books can be in providing time out when reality gets tough.
So if you can help, we'd be grateful.
What we need? FICTION BOOKS! Romance books, children's books, genre books, whatever – either new or in sparkling condition.
Please send them to:
RWA Bushfire Book Appeal
c/- 89 Rennie St
Thornbury

AUSTRALIA
When to send them? Now! And any time over the next few months. The books will be boxed
and delivered to the appropriate neighbourhood centres/community centres/libraries in batches as soon as practicable. Feel free to pop
a note inside, or if you're the author, sign the book.

Is there somewhere we can make a cash (i.e. PayPal) donation?
Have someone buy books on our behalf

Hey, I was at work today,
Hey, I was at work today, working on some new books and thought of you and your HighTechAmish plan. The first is Simply in Season- a cookbook that uses fresh, local foods. The other is Dutch Oven Secrets- not really about eating locally, but the pictures are cool, and it's a great way to cook if the power goes out (and hey, they're cast iron). :)
Dutch ovens are an excellent,
Dutch ovens are an excellent, efficient way to cook! I'm currently awaiting delivery of a nifty book on preserving food without canning or freezing. Oooo.
