Oooh, ahhhh, here it is! What’s amazing to me is that the hero, Jason, looks a whole lot like Jason Lee in Hearbreakers, which has a similar type of plot and tone. Yet I cooked up Miss Lonely Hearts years before that movie was made. Anyway, I love how the cover image captures that similarity. (By similar, I mean they’re both romantic comedy crime capers that feature bar owners. Otherwise, totally different.)
Did it really take me since before 2001 ’til now to sell Miss Lonely Hearts? Well, yes, because I was dumb and didn’t realize it was a pretty mainstream kind of project. I tried to sell it as a traditional romance, ahahahahaha. Sometimes I’m just slow.
