Silly but true

I get a thrill out of visiting this page. Look! Three paperbacks! (Yes, The Gripping Beast is now up for pre-order on Amazon.) 8)

Seriously, this thrills me. A little over a year ago, there was nothing under Charlene Teglia on Amazon. Sometimes I look at my booklist and can’t believe how much has happened, how fast.

    Way cool news!

It may seem that it’s all happened fast, Charlene, but YOU worked for it and YOU made it happen, and YOU absolutely deserve the thrill of seeing your work in print. I can’t tell you how much you inspire me to keep at my own humble efforts.

That, and a friend told me he’s purchased a very large shovel, which he will smash into my face, a la any 1940s animated cartoon, leaving my stunned, gaping face imprinted in the metal–if I don’t have a 200 page draft done by this June 1st.

I guess any sort of inspiration will work, eh? (though I prefer your inspiration to the threat of having my Lovecraftian mug intaglioed onto a shovel).

BTW, I just finished a run of “Angels In America” here in Helena. It was fantastic. I will probably be co-directing Clive Barker’s “The History of the Devil” in October–and no, I guess I don’t mind spilling out extraneous info out onto your comments section. Hope you don’t mind!!

    Love,
    yer cuz

Ha! I was toying with Jasmine again last night. My Montana jokes conjured you, didn’t they? lol

I really need to write the rest of that story. Which means you have to help with Montana.

A friend with a shovel is good to have. And woot on Clive Barker. Hope somebody’s taping that!

I guess it doesn’t seem so sudden when you consider that 10 years ago I was sending stories to you when you were doing that little SFF mag. I’ve been at The Craft awhile. So have you. I’m looking forward to seeing your Amazon page. smile
