I read Virgin Slave, Barbarian King for the multi-blog reviewapalooza, and it is poetry Monday. So, I give you two birds with one stone. My review haiku!
Rome was sacked by Goths
Julia bagged by Wulfric
Both are passion’s slave.
I bought this book because the title sounded fun and the setting even more fun. Ancient Rome! Invading Visigoths! It entertained me more than any of Season 2’s Heroes episodes have, so there you go. For more Monday poetry, visit the train. For more on the Reviewapalooza, go here.
i love that idea of doing a review by haiku!
I’ve never heard of the reveiwapalooza, Charli!!
Thanks, I’m off to check it out.
It saved me having to come up with a review and a poem. *g*
Melissa, I think you’ll find it entertaining! I know mine’s not a real review, but I didn’t have much to say beyond “this was fun and about what I expected”.
Love the poem, and I’ll have to read the book it sounds interesting. I wrote a haiku this week as well, it’s all the poem I had the attention span for. 🙂
P.S. I just bought copies of Miss Lonely Hearts and The Gripping Beast and can’t wait to read them (just thought you’d like to know).
Thanks, Ann! Hope you enjoy the Sirens. I loved your new year haiku.
Oh, I like the sound of the book already. The title alone is intriguing.
BTW, LOVE the cover for SATISFACTION GUARANTEED. So sexy!
I like the review haiku! Succinct!
A review haiku. I love it!
Thank you, Julia! The St. Martin’s art department rocks.
The title grabbed me, too. I mean, does it not sound fun? Hello, barbarian, make me your slave…
Gautami, glad you liked it!
Thanks, NJ. I had fun with it. *g*
