Revving up the engine

I’m about to dive into the Book Currently Known As Animal Attraction Pending Better Title. We’re moved and settled and ready to get back into routine. (The return to routine actually started on Monday) I need to look up some stuff about the historical battlefield near the book because I plan to have a major scene take place there. Of course, by the time I get there plans may change, but instinct says the battlefield is significant to the plot. I picked this location for the book’s setting in part because the battlefield made it “right”.

I have a good start on the book, although oddly no playlist. Huh. But we’ll see what comes up as I go forward.

Edited to add: Happy Valentine’s Day! For a Valentine giveaway, visit PBW. Not only can you enter to win a book, you can read her Holly Noriko stories free.

OK, if it’s going on Pub Marketplace, it must be official

St. Martin’s has contracted me for two more books! Book one is Animal Attraction, book two is untitled. Here’s the blurb I was just asked to write for the announcement.

*Animal Attraction: Chandra Walker always hoped to find out who her birth parents were; she just didn’t expect the truth to put her in the middle of a shapeshifter war with the power to determine the outcome, complicated by a forbidden love for two mates.

Does that sound fun or what?:cool:

So there you have it, y’all, I am gainfully employed. Two more books for St. Martin’s, and I just signed a new contract for a novella with Ellora’s Cave, titled Two Knights in Camelot. (This is the one I mentioned earlier but didn’t know if the title would change or not.) Good thing I have an office now, eh?

*This title is actually under construction. If you can think of anything that sounds darker and sexier, please share suggestions!

New release?

I found out last night that Satisfaction Guaranteed is shipping, at least from Overstock.com, although as of last night Amazon still wasn’t. So, um, I guess I have a new release out. To which my reaction is sort of deer-in-the-headlights, because the last I heard it wasn’t out until March. This means I need to get my site updated to reflect said new release and perhaps call and/or visit a local bookstore or two. And various other things I thought I had until March to worry about. So, Satisfaction may be out in stores near you! Let me know if you see it, and naturally you will want a copy to take home with you to ward off the February chill.

Jennifer at CK2sKwipsandKritiques says,
“Ever have a capture fantasy? Doesn’t matter. You will after reading Charlene Teglia’s newest book, Satisfaction Guaranteed. Ms. Teglia delivers three stories of women who enjoy capture fantasies in this sexy collection. Connecting these stories with the friendships between the three heroines allows the book to work as one continuous story with three subplots. On top of that, the central element of an agency that connects individuals to experience their capture fantasies in a safe environment removes the element of real danger for both our three couples and the reader, leaving simply the sensuality and the excitement of the fantasy.

Satisfaction Guaranteed is sure to thrill readers who enjoy romances with a generous dollop of sensuality sprinkled with a nice bit of humor and finished with a more than satisfying happy ending.”

Satisfaction is a FAR Recommended Read and received the Five Blue Ribbon award from Romance Junkies.

And for poetry Monday, a limerick:

There once were three women all looking
For men who knew how to get cooking
They wanted some action
And pure satisfaction
And got it, plus love, from their booking.

The last box

Unpacked the last box today. Pant, pant. We still need to hang pictures and organize the garage, but the house looks great, and it’s all organized. No boxes or packing debris underfoot. I finished during naptime, after which we took the kids to the playpark and then the grandparents’ house to celebrate. Wooo! Done unpacking!

Now to finish off those copyedits…
