I’m thankful, let the leftovers begin!

My weekend has been full. Kids, house, laundry (oh the laundry), changing sheets, final pre-turkey shopping, cleaning things that held still and bathing things that didn’t. Today I decided why wait until Thursday to eat the good stuff and put the ham in the oven with baked brie and put mashed taters and green beans on the stovetop. I mean, the point of Thanksgiving is the leftovers. As in days when I don’t have to cook and nobody cares! I’m all for starting the season of no cooking with no repercussions early. And this way, my family is likely to be lenient if the turkey doesn’t get defrosted at the right time.

Somewhere in there, the husband held still while I bounced my plot off him. Not only did this result in clarity and direction, but it explained why it was so tangled in the first place; it’s freaking complicated. I would like to write an easy book next, please. Although that’d be more likely if I quite coming up with ideas that required multiple plot lines.

I also updated my Amazon shopping cart because there are books out there I do not own and that’s just wrong. So now Ilona Andrews, Kim Harrison and Patricia Briggs are in my cart. And I have clean laundry, a full stomach, and an untangled plot. I feel so much better. Thankful, even.
