Joyfully Reviewed posted two terrific reviews, Wolf In Shining Armor and the first review of Night Music! Quotes from reviewer Georgia:

“Wolf in Shining Armor showcases a great short story, one with interesting characters, a fast pace, a little tension and a lot of sexual heat. Rorik is a man that takes charge, accepting and even embracing his curse to make the most of it…As for Ailiss, she is conflicted. She knows Rorik is her mate but is resentful of the way in which he comes to her, but she can’t resist her own needs and must reconcile her emotions with her instincts before they can truly be happy together. Their journey is quick, but very well told.

“Although Night Music is part of The Sirens series, this short story can stand on its own. The characters are surprisingly well developed for the length of the story…This fast paced story is a quick and easy read that also satisfies. The steaming hot sex is just right. Ms. Teglia also very nicely sets up the story for the next book. I, for one, can not wait to read Valentine and Lisa’s story.”

Valentine and Lisa’s story, of course, is my Halloween freebie, Night Rhythm, available right here.

Sol Duc; wow. We decided to start from the hot springs instead of parking further up the road to hike to the falls, taking the Lover’s Lane trail. We are calling it “Lovers Lame” because your blisters will have blisters about 2 hours into the trek. Not an easy trail. Lots of wet and slippery log bridges, streams to ford, rocky footing, and I understand during the spring runoff a lot of the trail is under water. I can well believe this. Late summer to fall is probably the safer time of year.

The curious thing about this trail? I remember reading that somewhere there’s a place where water appears to flow uphill due to some sort of powerful illusion. Likewise, this trail somehow manages to take a 6 mile loop that goes uphill the whole way. We kept saying in the beginning, “This will be downhill coming back!” Hahahaha.

After 4 miles of hard going and 3 gorgeous falls and lots and lots of photographs, we came back via the highway to the hot springs. Next time we’ll come with suits and soak our aching muscles! Sol Duc Hot Springs is a great place to either camp or rent a cabin and take the many, many trails that lead off. Mink Lake, Hidden Lake, Seven Lake Basin just to name a few.
