Since I have officially put my running shoes back on after a very long “try other sports” haitus…
I am Life; I am Motion
Legs like pistons
Lungs like bellows
I am the ultimate machine
There is no Time, no Distance
No Reality but the steady thud-thud
Of feet endlessly running
I am Life; I am Life;
Floating weightless and suspended
Effortless, I run
I am Freedom, I am Motion
Made of iron, breathing fire
The ultimate machine
I am the runner.

Effortless, I run
It’s been a long time since I could say that myself.
Ahh, it’s like riding a bicycle. You never forget. You just have to find your rhythm and breathe. *g*
I’ve a girlfriend who just completed a marathon on the weekend, I’ll have to send her this link I think. She’d like it.
Great poem. Running was never my thing, I was more of a cyclist, or a swimmer.
