The whole thing is a crapshoot and given the current state of the biz, we might as well all just do what makes us happy.

Nothing really new there. :/
No, but it’s kind of nice to know it really is a total unknown no matter which way you go, so you might as well go the way that appeals to you most. : )
Wise words.
Ha.
All I could do was shake my head.
Raine, you and me both. It really shoots down the theory that the “experts” can predict this stuff so you should listen to their wisdom. Nobody can predict this stuff.
Is it that time of year again already? I see I’ll have to do another post to parody the Publishing Doomsday Cometh people.
I can say from experience that industry folks who don’t write books for a living always feel compelled to predict what will happen to those of us who do. Back in my rookie year, e-books were supposed to destroy the industry and put all of us book writers out of work. Still waiting for the four e-horsemen of that apocalypse to show up.
And hey, Charli, you gotta call me an e-book author now. I’m finally official, lol.
In my rookie year, erotic authors were destroying the fabric of the universe! Now we only have to worry about the large Hadron supercollider doing that. How things change. *g*
Please do parody the Publishing Doomsday people. And big congratulations on your e-release! I am trying to figure out which source will allow me to download the file format I want. Looks like straight from Penguin is my best shot. So looking forward to reading it! (Yes, it does warrant that many exclamation points.)
