I got the news yesterday that Claimed by the Wolf is a 2009 Australian Romance Readers Association finalist for Favorite Erotic Romance. Since the other favorites are books by Lora Leigh, Lauren Dane, Sarah McCarty and Maya Banks, the competition is fierce but I’m thrilled to be in their company. Thanks, Australian Romance Readers!
Of course, this puts Red Queen in the same position Claimed by the Wolf was in, when readers were expecting the next novel to follow up the Neuri from Animal Attraction, and instead they got Shadow Guardians. Now readers are expecting the next Shadow Guardians and will get Red Queen before the next Shadow Guardians book (Kiss of the Demon) is out.
But I’m happy that there are books coming and readers who look forward to them, and I’m happy to be finally getting over bronchitis and back to producing at something like my normal rate. (It takes 2-3 weeks to get over bronchitis, but it feels like eternity. Good riddance. Bring on the books!)
Congratulations! I loved Claimed by the Wolf!
Just out of curiosity, is there going to be another Neuri book?
Angie, thanks. I don’t really know right now if there’ll be another book after Red Queen. I have ideas for more Neuri, but nothing firm enough to say it wants to be a book yet. I will probably at least do some short stories. There are a lot of possibilities to play with.
Congrats on the well-deserved nomination. I love Claimed by the Wolf. Our local bookstore has a bunch of copies, which I front-faced of course. *g*
Sorry to hear you’ve had bronchitis. That sucks. I hope you start feeling better soon.
Thanks, NJ! It does suck, but I’m feeling human again finally. Give me a few more days and I’ll be back to normal, I think.
